Add and manage webhooks

This page explains how to configure project and organization webhooks to send event notifications to external applications.

1. How webhooks work

A webhook is an HTTP or HTTPS endpoint that receives notifications from Obeo Enterprise for Sirius. When a supported event occurs, Obeo Enterprise for Sirius sends a JSON POST request to the configured URL.

The request body uses a common envelope:

{
  "id": "notification-id",
  "from": "OCP",
  "type": "ProjectModifiedMessage",
  "content": {
    "createdOn": "2026-09-08T10:15:30Z",
    "project": {
      "id": "project-id",
      "name": "Example project",
      "natures": [],
      "createdOn": "2026-09-01T09:00:00Z",
      "lastModifiedOn": "2026-09-08T10:15:30Z"
    }
  }
}

The envelope contains:

  • id: the notification identifier.

  • from: the source of the notification, OCP.

  • type: the event type; see Events.

  • content: the event-specific data. Its structure depends on type.

🔐 Access to this feature is restricted to admin users.

An organization webhook receives notifications for projects owned by the selected organization. This lets you configure one endpoint for events from the organization’s projects instead of configuring the endpoint separately in each project.

To create an organization webhook:

  1. Open the organization.

  2. Open Settings.

  3. Select the Webhooks tab.

  4. Click New Webhook.

  5. Enter a name and the HTTP or HTTPS endpoint URL.

  6. Click Create Webhook.

The configured webhook is displayed in the table with its name and URL. To remove it, use the Delete action in its row and confirm the deletion.

4. Events

Webhooks notify the configured application when one of the following changes occurs:

  • A project is created, renamed, or deleted.

  • A model or other semantic data is created, updated, or deleted.

  • A representation is created, its content is created or updated, or its metadata is created, updated, or deleted.

  • Project visibility changes.

  • A project image is added, its label changes, or it is deleted.

Project webhooks receive these notifications for their project. Organization webhooks receive them for projects owned by their organization.
